hm, sweet potato muffins, I may have to try that!

I wanted to make things that use other ingredients also to keep the cost down. I am planning on the buttermilk cupcakes and other cookies that will show how good the eggs and powdered milk do in baking. Ooh, maybe some banana bread made with our bananas!!

I have heard great things about the sweet potato muffins.

What about sugar cookies and brownie bites.

Ok, so this what I did. I only used 2 cups of flour instead of 3. After I had added all the flour and the sour cream (reconstituted) I added 4 T of Sour Cream Pdr to increase the sour cream taste. I didn't reconstitute it because the batter didn't need anymore liquid. The batter is a lot wetter than the original recipe, so I chilled it for an hour. Drop by spoonfuls on to cookie sheet. Put a little butter on the bottom of a spoon, or just use your fingers to smash down. I just sprinkled the cinnamon and sugar separately on each cookie. They turned out much better.

Let me know how you do with it. We are hosting a bake sale for our VFD and want to make all items with Thrive! Any suggestions??

Maybe we should pass it on to SR to have some consultants from around the country to try out the recipes before sending them out to people!

Can you let us know how you tweak it.

I just wanted to remind everyone to try a recipe before making it for a customer!

I just made the recipe that was included in our May newsletter. I don't know if it is because Utah is a high elevation than us, but recipes almost always call for too much flour! The dough for these cookies tasted good until I added the remainder of the flour that it called for!! I'm gonna make it again and tweak it. We are hosting a bake sale and we want everything we sell to be made with THRIVE!
